Tom Farr

Principal Investigator

Center of Excellence for Earth and Space Science

Dr. Tom is Research Scientist at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). He obtained his Master of Science in Geology at Caltech and his Ph.D. at University of Washington. Tom’s research include application of remote sensing techniques and digital topography to understanding of tectonically active mountain ranges and past climate changes, use of remote sensing to find and monitor water resources in arid regions. Processes of weathering and erosion of geologic surfaces and how they affect remote sensing and digital topographic data on Earth, Mars, and Titan.
